The Enterprise Browser as the New Virtual Desktop.

The Enterprise Browser as the New Virtual Desktop.

The Enterprise Browser as the New Virtual Desktop.

VDI and DaaS have long been positioned as the solution for secure,  remote work. But today’s reality is different - most of the apps users  need are already in the browser. Instead of delivering an entire virtual  desktop to access SaaS, what if the browser itself became the secure  enterprise workspace?
This session explores how the Enterprise Browser can replace many use  cases of VDI, reducing costs, improving user experience, and solving the  unmanaged device problem more effectively than VPNs or virtualization.  We’ll compare traditional EUC strategies against an Enterprise  Browser-first approach - outlining when it makes sense to replace,  complement, or rethink virtual desktops altogether.

PAUL MURGATROYD

Paul is a technical lead with Island, working with customers across EMEA and  further afield to help them deploy and get the most out of their  Enterprise Browser deployments. Prior to Island, Paul spent two decades  at Forcepoint and Symantec; and before that, he had a variety of roles  at a large Pharma, leveraging Citrix and other technologies to deliver  access to security technologies. In vendor land, his roles have spanned  consulting, product management, and presales, where he specialized in  SASE, Endpoint, and cloud solutions, working with their most significant  customers. Configuration Drift in the End User Compute estate.

Configuration Drift in the End User Compute estate.

Configuration Drift in the End User Compute estate.

Configuration Drift is usually thought of in the server space, but it also applies in the end user compute estate. End users do the most crazy things and that usually happens right their on the device they use everyday, your policies and controls only go so far, some users need more latitude with what they can do on their device yet that doesn’t mean you don’t need to know what has been changed, installed or modified – maybe for audit purposes or software asset management needs, additionally we can independently verify activities allowing you to have closed loop change management and verification for compliance.

The dum and smart of Ai in the World of EUC.

Cyber criminals deploy more sophisticated methods  and techniques every year, and alot of new vulnerabilities are  discovered and reported yearly. As a result, many organizations struggle  to manage the vast volume of new vulnerabilities they  encounter every day, and their traditional systems cannot prevent these  high-risk threats in real time.

There are many ways to keep your Cloud  infrastructure secure on Azure. We can look at how AI can also be a  powerful tool to combat cyber threats  harnessed responsibly and  securely along with Microsoft security controls to help your  organization  prevent, detect, and respond to threats by providing increased  visibility into the security of your application workloads and   identities along with advanced analytics to identify attacks that might  otherwise go undetected.

Adnan Hendricks is a highly skilled Cloud  Infrastructure Architect, consultant and Microsoft Trainer. He is  recognized for his expertise in Microsoft Azure, Ai and security  solutions, and has been honored as a Microsoft Most Valuable  Professional  (MVP) for more than a decade. Deploying AI-Ready Workspaces While Securing Legacy Apps

Synopsis

As enterprises embrace AI-driven workflows, legacy EUC environments struggle to keep up. Kasm Workspaces, with Kubernetes-native deployment, enables secure AI-driven workspaces while maintaining legacy Windows apps. Learn how this approach reduces  cost, risk, and attack surface in AI adoption.

The rise of AI-driven workflows is reshaping enterprise workloads, but legacy Windows applications remain a critical part of the ecosystem. Kasm Workspaces provides a Kubernetes-native, AI workspace that bridges the gap—enabling scalable, containerized  environments that support both legacy apps and modern AI/ML workloads. This session explores how deploying AI-ready workspaces with Kasm reduces cost, mitigates security risks, and minimizes attack surfaces while ensuring compliance. We’ll also discuss real-world  use cases demonstrating how organizations are securing and optimizing their EUC strategies for the AI-driven future. Demos will include AI workspaces for LLM, AI/ML and Legacy windows apps.

Why now ?

Enterprise workloads are evolving rapidly with the rise of AI, yet most EUC environments are still built for legacy applications. Organizations need secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions to deploy AI-powered workspaces while maintaining  compliance and reducing risk. As AI adoption accelerates, businesses must rethink how they deliver applications, manage data, and secure their environments.

Why Me?

I’ve spent the last five years applying AI and data monetization strategies in the enterprise, helping organizations transition from traditional VDI to modern, AI-enabled workspaces. Our platform originated as part of Project Maven at the DoD,  designed to bring AI-powered insights to mission-critical environments. I bring hands-on experience in deploying Kubernetes-based AI workspaces that bridge legacy applications with the future of intelligent enterprise computing.

Building the Ultimate EUC Strategy for Complex Organizations.

Large organizations need a flexible EUC approach. While most employees rely on SaaS and web apps, developers, engineers, and designers may need a full desktop or just a single legacy app. Some applications are virtualized on-prem, others run in DaaS or the cloud, adding complexity to user experience and management.
This session explores how to design the ideal EUC stack, integrating Enterprise Browsers, VDI, DaaS, and Cloud PCs to match different user needs. Learn how to ensure a consistent experience, streamline access to legacy and modern apps, and balance security, performance, and cost for a future-ready EUC strategy.
